Midface Lift

A midface lift restores a youthful contour to the cheek and midface. Patients often seek this procedure to correct “deflation” and loss of cheek projection.

Some patients opt for filler injection or fat grafting to this area. A midface lift offers a more permanent option and is often combined with a lower eyelid operation to remove eyelid fat and tighten the lower eyelid.

What should I expect during the consultation?

The first step in the process is a consultation with Dr. Surek and his staff. You will be asked to discuss your medical history, including surgeries, allergies and current medications. You will also need to talk about the features in your face and neck that you think make you look older. It will be helpful if you bring photos of yourself from 10 to 15 years ago to use as a reference when discussing your goals and planning the procedure.

How is the surgery performed?

Midface lift surgery is performed in an outpatient surgery center. The length of surgery depends on the degree or severity of the midface aging, but most procedures are complete within two hours. An hour is required in the recovery room.
